MFCA Honors
2009 Golden Apple Recipients Angela and Christopher Cohan
Scholarship
Your gift will enable students to attend the Megan Furth Catholic Academy. Despite the rising cost of operating in San Francisco, we keep the family commitment for tuition at $3,000 per year, per student. The cost to educate each child is actually more than $12,000.
Extended Care
MFCA offers an Extended Care Program that provides wrap-around services including Morning Care and an After School Academic Program (ASAP). All students participate in homework assistance, tutoring in literacy and math, enrichment activities that promote self-discovery, mentoring from positive adult role models to build self-esteem and respect for others, and community building in a safe and fun environment.
Nutrition
In an effort to keep these young minds fueled for learning we provide a daily continental breakfast for all students; daily nutritious snacks to students including yogurts, granola bars, fresh fruit, carrot sticks, etc.; milk and fruit for all students to eat with a sack lunch that is brought from home; and sandwich supplies for those students who either forget sack lunches or were not provided one from home.
Curriculum and Classroom Supplies
Help us to improve our curriculum areas of math, science, literacy, history, religion, computer science, entrepreneurship, music, and language arts with books, supplies, programmatic learning modules or enriching field trips.
Physical and Health Education
Five days per week, the Megan Furth Catholic Academy partners with the innovative company, Rhythm and Moves, to provide physical education, motor development, problem solving and team building.
Unrestricted
Fund our general operating costs (building maintenance, insurance, back office, administration, electricity, etc) and have our greatest appreciation.
