Nicole DiDonato-McAuliffe is a graduate of the Principal’s Leadership Institute program at UC Berkeley, where she earned her Masters Degree in Education. Before becoming MFCA principal in 2006, Mrs. McAuliffe worked for the San Francisco Unified School District as a principal, assistant principal and instructional reform coach. Her leadership and teaching experiences have been at both the elementary and middle school level, offering a unique perspective on K-8 education. |

Michelle Escobar, winner of the 2009 Herbst Foundation Award for Excellence in teaching, Michelle Escobar has been a teacher at MFCA since 2005. Currently, she is teaching language arts, social studies, religion, and NFTE to our middle school students. Ms. Escobar graduated from San Francisco State University earning a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and History and continued her education at Monterey State University receiving a multiple subject credential. Since age five when she attempted to teach her cat to write with pencil in paw, Ms. Escobar knew she wanted to be a teacher. |

Sascha Guervitz graduated from Boston College in 2005 with degrees in Elementary Education and Theology. She possesses a master’s degree in Moderate Needs Special Education, also at BC. Ms. Guervitz came to MFCA in 2009 after spending three years teaching first grade at St. Christopher in San Jose. Ms. Guervitz grew up in rural Ohio. She is an avid reader, loves to ski, and is college football fan. |

Karen Hammen joined the MFCA faculty in 2009 as a middle school math and science teacher. Ms. Hammen also teaches religion and community service classes to the 7th and 8th grade students. Ms. Hammen has been a middle school math and science teacher for five years in Catholic schools. She received her B.A. in Biology at the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA. Following her undergraduate degree, Ms. Hammen worked in New Orleans at a Domestic Violence shelter as a member of the Jesuit Volunteer Corps. From 2004-2006, she completed a two-year, M.Ed. program and teaching fellowship with the Alliance for Catholic Education at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Following her degree, Ms. Hammen taught for three years in San Jose, CA. |

Abby Hoskins has taught third grade at Megan Furth Catholic Academy since 2006. She has previously taught Kindergarten in Ghana. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Human Development at U.C. Davis and her teaching credential at San Francisco State University. |

Jennifer Gonsalves brings a love of learning and a passion for teaching to the Megan Furth Catholic Academy. Her motto has always been “by learning you will teach and by teaching you will learn.” Mrs. Gonsalves has a B.A. in French and International Trade from Southern Illinois University and was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal, West Africa. Mrs. Gonsalves attended San Francisco State University, where she earned an M.A. in Special Education and two Teaching Credentials. She is devoted to addressing the diverse learning needs of children found within all classrooms. |

Jennifer Kim has worked at MFCA since 2005. She earned a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from San Francisco State University. Ms. Kim is currently attending SFSU Graduate School to earn her Master of Arts Degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Kim, a native of greater Los Angeles, is a confirmed Catholic and a parishioner of St. Dominic’s Church. |

Sister Gloria is the Reading Support Teacher for grades one through six. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a California Elementary Lifetime Teaching Credential. Sister Gloria enjoys working with children helping them to realize their God-given potential. She taught for many years in Catholic Schools and cherishes the years she spent as a classroom teacher. |

Regan Nadelberg has taught at MFCA since 2006. Mrs. Nadelberg earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and Child Study from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts. She was awarded a California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential in 1998. She previously taught first grade and kindergarten while working for the San Francisco Unified School District (1998-2006). Regan Nadelberg is a San Francisco native. |

Sister Ann Providence possesses a B.A. from Dominican College; Lifetime Elementary Teaching Credential; Graduate Work in Religious Education, Santa Clara University. “God is love”. In teaching students and preparing students to receive the sacraments, I do rely on the love and guidance of God. Children are precious in God’s eyes. I do believe children are a gift from God! |

Shauna Bergh-Saenz came to Megan Furth Catholic Academy staff in 2006. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Colorado in 2000 and her Multiple Subject CLAD Credential from San Francisco State University in May of 2006. Shauna Bergh-Saenz began her love of teaching in a sports related capacity; teaching dance, gymnastics and snowboarding to a variety of young ages. Mrs. Saenz incorporates a strong literacy and math component with a multi-sensory and kinesthetic approach to learning. |

Marcus Steele returns to MFCA this year as the Director of Student Services. Mr. Steele holds his Masters in Teaching and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the University of San Francisco. He was born, raised, and attended college in the city of Seattle. He enjoys fly-fishing, biking, basketball, and tennis. His passion is rooted in youth’s social, educational, and spiritual development. |

Patricia Shanks is an instructional assistant at MFCA. She provides classroom support in grades one through fourth grade and supplemental reading assistance to middle school students. Mrs. Shanks holds a Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from City College of San Francisco. |

Christine Unruh has worked with Megan Furth Catholic Academy students since 2002. Chris Unruh is a freelance writer and editor and a former editor at the San Francisco Chronicle. She obtained a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Missouri. |

Mike Ward is the Dean of Students. He also serves athletic director for the Megan Furth Catholic Academy. Mr. Ward previously worked for Sacred Heart Elementary School as a physical education teacher. |
